I don't know about you, but the autumn and winter: football season, which in turn means party season and a time to stay in watching football and drinking beer! It is true, weekends are a bit more of a diet challenge than the rest of the year? One such challenge is the lure of a beer or three during football matches.
We need time to kick back and let loose a little; some of us do it by chilling out with a few cold ones whilst we watch our favorite team.
Fortunately, not all lost; not all beers are heavy stacked with bad calories; If you choose to participate in a little gridiron partying, we have picked the top 10 of the beers to enjoy your football with, without packing one under your top!
1 Becks Premier Light: A crazy low 64 calories
2 Anheuser Busch Natural Light: joint second 95 calories
3 Amstel Light: Coming in second with 95 calories
4 Michelob Ultra: another 95 calories beer
5 Natural light: this must be the sweet spot right? 95 calories again
6 Heineken: packing more with a fully taste 166 calories - drink less?
7 Irish Red: 163 calories Killians is going to to need to be sipped
8 Long Trail: same for the 163 calories Long Trail
9 Molson Ice: always a good football beer 160 calories
10 Anheuser Busch Natural Ice: 157 calories for the taste of natural ice
One could argue less is more in solving the small beer for more taste; if calories are not what you were looking for, you can enjoy a more complete drink (and taste) beer, only smaller. Popular beer Heineken and Sam Adams Boston Lager has 166 and 180 calories, respectively; a drink while watching the game can not put you back too much.
A beer that you want to skip the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. This beer can be okay for the rare indulgence, but at a whopping 330 calories, is it a meal to a value of zero nutrition.
Basically here is my view on this. Go out for a run before the game, get some exercise in and you can treat yourself to a few beers without having to worry! Lets just hope your team wins!
